FAQs

Is There a Dress Code?

Yes! The dress code for the Welcome Party is Cocktail Attire. We suggest that men wear a suit or dress shirt and women wear a midi - or knee-length dress or dressy separates. The dress code for all celebrations on May 10th is Creative Black Tie. We ask that men wear a tuxedo or dark suit and women wear a mid- to floor-length gown. Have fun with it! We want to have our favorite people dress up with us but also kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride - whites, ivories, and creams. Having trouble figuring out what to wear? Check out the link below for some curated inspiration!

Is There Parking Available at the Venues?

Yes, there is complimentary guest parking at the Church, off of N. Mozart St. For the reception, there are several nearby parking garages that are within walking distance. For the Welcome Party there are also several nearby parking garages that are within walking distance. Please refer to the 'Travel' tab for maps and parking garages we recommend with their rates.

Can I Bring a Plus One?

Unless it is specifically indicated on your envelope, we are unable to accommodate plus ones. For example, your envelope would list "(your name) & Guest." For families, it will list "(your name) & Family" or "The (your last name) Family." When you RSVP online, you will be able to see the exact number of people we have reserved seats for under your party.

How Should I RSVP?

You have two ways to RSVP. The first way is to click the 'RSVP' tab of this site, or scan the QR code on RSVP card from your invitation, and type the name(s) listed on your envelope. You can also RSVP by filling out and sending back the RSVP card provided in your invitation. We kindly ask that you RSVP by Saturday, April 5th. If you are unable to attend, we would appreciate you letting us know at the soonest opportunity. Any RSVPs received after this date will be marked as a 'no' as we will be sending final headcounts to vendors shortly after this deadline - you will be missed!

Will there be transportation to and from the venue?

Yes! For guests staying in our hotel blocks, transportation to the ceremony and to our reception venue will be provided! Please refer to 'ceremony transportation information' tab on the site for more details.

Will the Ceremony and Reception be Indoors or Outdoors?

Both will be held indoors, but there is a patio available for use at the reception venue. On average, high temperatures in Chicago range between 64 °F and 74 °F, with lows dropping to the mid to high 40s once the sun sets.

How Does Seating Work?

The ceremony will be open seating, so sit wherever you please. However, please allow for the immediate family of the Bride and Groom to have the first few aisles. These will be marked as reserved. For the reception, we will be carefully arranging tables so our guests are sat with those they know (or their plus one or partner).

What Do I Do If I Am Late for the Ceremony?

The ceremony will be starting promptly at 4:00pm. We recommend that guests arrive 15 to 20 minutes prior to the ceremony beginning to mingle and find a seat. If you happen to be late, someone will be there to let you know if they are still allowing guests in or if you will need to wait until the ceremony is over. If that happens, you will still be able to attend the reception, so hang tight, and we will see you at the reception! Thank you for understanding!

Can We Take Our Own Pictures & Videos Throughout the Day?

Our ceremony inside the church will be unplugged. For this, we ask all phones and cameras be turned off and put away. You are more than welcome to take photos and videos throughout the course of the reception. This is such a special day for us and we have brought on the most amazing photography team to document our entire day. Because of this, we ask that you enjoy celebrating with us instead of taking photos and videos.
